The studio has been working on several public art commissions over the summer in Mayo, Down, Limerick and Westmeath. The county council here wanted submissions for sculptures for several roundabouts at different locations to be phased in over the coming years. We developed some ideas and produced visuals which were submitted with a complete installation and costings plan. One idea used the ‘Stars’ Geodesic concept scaled up and proposed in laser cut steel for exterior use. The fully 3-dimensional form would create a striking sculpture both day and night with spotlighting underneath.
