Tile Pendant
We have just completed a series of 11 pendant fittings for a bar and restaurant at the Sandy Bank Beach resort on the island of St. Kitt’s in the Carribean. The concept was based on the principle of overlapping tiles. These tiles are composed of 4 shades of white 3mm acrylic which hook onto Tenons around rings of 5mm frosted Acrylic. In turn these are supported by 3mm brushed stainless steel uprights. All parts are affixed by small pins enabling parts to be replaced easily. The pendants are located in a covered outdoor bar and dining area so the 110v GU10 bulbs used were encased in IP rated outdoor lampholders. The project has been very interesting in terms of the research made into the tolerances and nesting involved in laser cutting. We will post photos of the installation soon
