Our ‘Interweave-Sphere’ product, designed in 1998 has been used in a number of cafes recently. Visual – Carlow’s new arts centre opened late last year and is a much needed addition to the towns cultural fabric. Lennons cafe is located in the basement and has exposed concrete surfaces like the rest of the building. This meant that any cabling had to be exposed and gave rise to a system of draping the cable from light to light. 3 sizes of lamp and 12 fittings are featured above the banquet seating and bar adding a dramatic focal point to the interior. Another new cafe in Athlone shopping Centre also uses 5 large Spheres above banquet seating. This corner cafe on the main entrance route to the shopping mall benefits from having a strong lighting feature to entice customers into the space.
