Inspirational Homes Leitrim documents and makes accessible the diverse ways of building tucked away in our landscape. We hope to facilitate the sharing of experiences, knowledge and skills amongst builders, homeowners, architects, selfbuilders and anyone with an interest in making sustainable the future of building in Ireland.
GREEN DOOR 2015 : At last we are delighted to announce that we will be holding our third Green Door Festival this year. The dates have been chosen as August 28th-30th. So put that weekend in your diary now! We are planing to extend our homes and buildings into some of Sligo as well as finding more gems in Co Leitrim so there will be something new for everyone.
We are also planning some exciting collaborations with the Dock and the Leitrim Sculpture Centre arts centres with our aim of putting architecture and design for rural living firmly into the sphere of the arts. Watch this space for updates.
Also, we are delighted to be supported by a number of organisistaions this year: Arts Council of Ireland, Heritage Council of Ireland, Design Ireland 2015, Leitrim Arts and the Community Diaspora Leitrim and the Government Policy on Architecture scheme. So, many thanks to all of them for their support and we look forward to delivering an excting an stimulating weekend.
