Bamboo Cylinders for Inchidoney Hotel, Cork

Images have just come in of another project we completed late last year for the exclusive Inchidoney Hotel and Spa in Clonakilty, county Cork. NODA Architects Dublin were commissioned to re-design the interior of the restaurant which has a large glazed atrium area overlooking the sea. We were asked to supply custom made Bamboo Cylinder pendant lights of various sizes to spread across the space at random heights to provide ambient light in the evening. The natural bamboo fittings were chosen for their colour and light filtering qualities to suit the style of the chosen materials. It’s possible to produce these shades in large sizes, the largest we’ve made so far being H1800mm x 1800mm diameter. Diffuser discs in acrylic can also be used at the base of each shade to provide either warm white or coloured light downwards depending on the chosen Acrylic diffuser.
