The Pearl of Westport
Client: Maeve Curley / 2021

At the studio we also produce components for other designers and artists using our digital production facilities. In early 2021, west of Ireland based artist and architect Maeve Curley asked us to produce the parts for a work entitled ‘The Pearl of Westport’ for an exhibition called ‘ Sculptures at the Quay’. The piece resembles an opened oster shell with an illuminated pearl inside and was held together by steel bolts. We CNC cut and finished all the contoured Birch Plywood parts for the piece.
