Project:Carrickmines Tennis Club, Dublin

This commission from John Duffy Design involved producing multiple fittings for various areas within the new clubhouse at one of Ireland’s top lawn tennis and croquet clubs located in Carrickmines, Dublin. The chosen materials and finishes within the bar and restaurant areas produced a very comfortable warm scheme so the Lightweave-Cylinder fitting in Walnut veneer was chosen. Four large pendants were designed for above the bar area, suspended on polished stainless steel mounts affixed to the back wall. Two smaller cylinders were made for recesses within a nearby seating area giving dappled light in the surrounds and three large floor lights were made for the entrance and lounge areas again adding to the warm atmosphere throughout. The large floor lights had three internal light sources with smaller fittings have a single bulb. These were all designed to be dimmed accordingly.
