Aria is a new pendant designed for Rhatigan Architects in Sligo for the foyer of their new offices. The 2 storey height space required a large light fitting to not only give added functional light to the workstations below but also provide an eye catching feature in the evening. The brief required a custom designed rose with space above to accomodate all the cabling as this could not be hidden in the ceiling void above. The rose plate is in lightweight powder coated Aluminium and is in turn bolted to a steel frame above giving a rigid fixing structure which in turn is fixed to the plywood reinforced ceiling above.

The 7×7 bulb layout is in a hyperbolic paraboloid format producing a wave of light that gives interest from any viewing angle. Pearl LED E14 bulbs where chosen so as not to produce too much glare but rather points of light in space. This fitting can be produced in a range of sizes to fit any space and clients can choose the RAL colour of the rose and cable sets.
